DIY Bag

Hello,

Today I share a quick blog post on how I customised my bag to give a more playful look. I originally bought the bag from Forever 21 in Amsterdam, but as I already have quite a collection of serious/formal looking bags, I thought it would be fun to explore creativity and spice this one up. So here we go......

STEP 1: CLEAN THE BAG

As I'm going to stick things to the surface, it's important to make sure it's clean. I simply used a dry cloth to wipe the surface and get rid of any dust/residue.

STEP 2: IRON PATCH TO FABRIC

The ultimate goal is to stick the ice-cream patch to the bag. But as the patch has a slippery/waxy backing, this may prove difficult. Therefore, I ironed the patch to a random piece of black fabric (I used jersey) to make it easier to stick to the bag.

STEP 3: CUT OUT PATCH

I then used tailoring scissors (much easier to cut fabric with!) to cut the patch out of the fabric.

STEP 4: APPLY GLUE TO PATCH

And then the fun begins!! I used a hot glue gun to apply glue to the back of the patch.

STEP 5: STICK PATCH TO BAG

I then gently stuck the patch to the bag and smoothed it down.

STEP 6: MARK POSITION FOR CRYSTALS

Using a ruler and pencil, I (tried to) marked the position for the crystals. To be honest I tried to do this whilst watching some youtube vlogs and ultimately messed up the pattern - hence the random order!

STEP 7: STICK CRYSTALS TO BAG

Using  specialist adhesive and a tweezer, I stuck the Swarovski crystals to the bag.

STEP 8: ADD POM-POM BALL TO BAG

For an extra dose of fun, I attached a fur pom-pom ball to the side of the bag.

VOILA.....

Saatchi Gallery

Hello,

I recently attended Saatchi Gallery (again!) and very happily discovered the new collection of art on display :P I really enjoyed the variation of paintings, installations and wall-tile action! Not sure if it's obvious, but I've also decided to go natural. I'm loving my 'fro' more and more every day :P Thanks for passing by and Happy New Year beautiful people!

Love &Peace

Louis Vuitton - Series 3 - London

Hello,

During London Fashion Week, Louis Vuitton presented an exhibition at the The Strand (London) called 'Series 3'.  They described it as "Nicolas Ghesquière’s inspirations for his fourth ready-to-wear show as the Artistic Director for women’s collections at Louis Vuitton". Though the exhibition finished October 18th, I (luckily) attended TWICE! Below are a few flicks, hope you love it as much as I did!

Love & Peace,
Jen Noir

As we entered the exhibition, we met this amazing LV display. We then progressed to a very interesting LV portal (second pic) with moving projections - SUPER COOL!

They also had a spaced out 'white room' filled with super chic mannequins displaying various LV accessories

Me and this bag (second pic) could not be separated! I still remember the first time I saw it :(

They flew in this lovely lady, who specialised in hand-made LV bags. She made a clutch right before us

The first pic shows one of the amazing pieces in the glass closet installation. The second pic shows the free stickers =)

Selfies, because why not?!
