Pale Shades

Hello,

Have you ever wandered into your (bursting) wardrobe and thought 'I have nothing to wear!'? Well, I have to admit, today I had one of those moments. The original outfit I intended to wear today did not arrive on time (grrr!) So I just had to improvise and put this random outfit together. Again this was another chance to challenge my thought process as I would never have thought to pair pale mint with nude! Thank you for passing by, have a fabulous week ahead!

La Belle

Hello,

I think it's finally safe to say that winter is here (Brrr!) For today's look I chose to wear this JEN NOIR top, but spiced it up with a detailed belt and red-monochromatic look. I struggled on deciding which coat to style this with, although my heart desired a white coat, my mind advised otherwise. I felt a black coat would be the best accompaniment to balance the colour tone of the look and of course go with my sunglasses! Thank you for passing by, I wish you a wonderfully warm week ahead!

Paradox

Hello,

Hope you are all fab (as usual!). I know I haven't been very 'present' for a brief duration; I've been super busy setting up the JEN NOIR store! For today's outfit post I really wanted to dress soft and sweet (floral’s with bright colours) but also hard and bold (structured biker jacket), hence the blog post title!! I have to be honest, Autumn/Fall is by far my favourite season as I cease any excuse to wear any of my (many) coats and  jackets! Oh and I dyed my hair cherry-red for a nice change, hope you like it!Thank you for passing by, enjoy the last bits of sunshine!

P.s The amazing Fola from Fola's Oasis recently released a blog feature on JEN NOIR! Please do check it out HERE! :)

Mint

Hello,

I must confess that today’s look is inspired by the various Guess Marciano and Dolce & Gabbana ad’s I’ve seen lately. I love the fusion of vibrant leopard print with soft leatherette. I initially intended to simply tuck in the blouse but decided to turn up the ‘fun factor’ and tie it into a crop top instead.

P.S.  can you believe these heels are from Primark?!

Geo Print

Hello,

I bought this skirt a while back and have been trying to figure out how to style it. Geometric prints are always fun, so I thought the addition of bright colours would make this outfit more season friendly. The weather was once again quite random, so I opted for a ‘spring friendly’ jacket. Thank you so much for passing by, I wish you a very happy Easter Holiday!

Rouge XS

Hello,

I’m really liking hem peplum skirts and am even considering designing one very soon! For this look I decided to once again delve into my inner 1950’s self by wearing something that’s fitted but still tasteful. I recently highlighted my hair just to add some dimension and body. For the lips I used MAC’s Ruby Woo lipstick and MAC’s Nightmoth lip liner to create an ombre effect. I hope to keep updating you on all the cool lipstick techniques I'm discovering.  Have a wonderful week ahead and enjoy the Sun!

Parisian

Hello,

I'm wishfully thinking it's spring so today I felt like dressing '"springy"! Monochrome generally reminds me of French fashion, hence the blog title. I bought this skirt a couple of years ago, but opted to create a more exaggerated illusion by wearing a puffy tulle skirt underneath. The bag was also originally a cross-body bag, but I reduced the strap to make it a fanny pack (I'm a tad bit addicted to DIY). Thank you so much for visiting and I wish you a sunny week ahead!

Kensington

Hello,

Sincerest apologies for not blogging for such a long time.  January brought a dramatic (but good) change to my life that required my full attention.  But now I’m fully settled and can finally proceed with life! Today I met up with my sister for brunch and wanted to wear something fairly simple with a touch of sophistication. I bought this coat during the Zara sale last year; I love how it literally formalises every outfit. I also transformed the jumper into a crop top (DIY) in order to remove any visible seam lines on the skirt. Thank you for reading & have a lovely warm week ahead!

Back To Black

Hello,

I know I said I would (try to) wear less black, but I just can't help myself. I saw this hairy gilet at a random boutique and just could not walk away from it. I love that it's so fluffy and soft, it kept me super warm all day. The waist belt highlights my silhouette and adds a little glitz. I gifted myself with the Selma bag, tis the season and all! I hope you all had a truly amazing Christmas, and I wish you a wonderful new year!
